HAND PAINTED Civil War Toy Soldiers Gettysburg Vignette At the High Water Mark

You are looking at SIXTEEN of my hand painted 54mm Civil War Union and Confederate Infantry depicting the action at the famed "High Water Mark Of The Confederatcy" as it was the furthest north the Confederate Army had ever attained. It was where Pickett's Charge met the Union defenders on Cemetery Hill, at the targeted location, in the "Copse of Trees" pointed out by General Robert E. Lee when he discussed the charge with General James Longstreet or "Old Pete", as he was frequently called by other officers!

This UNIQUE set includes ALL SIXTEEN of Classic Toy Soliers recently released Civil War Union and Confederate sets, each with eight distinctive poses in each set, and no duplicates! Also included to these hand painted figures is a wall section provided by Americana , which I also hand painted to make this unique diorama of this heroic fight that was the largest conflict ever in the Western Hemisphere! These very realistic figures from CTS include in the Union group, both a kneeling firing pose and a standing figure soldier, a kneeling figure reaching in his cap box for a minie ball cap to load his weapon, a standing sergeant reaching for a cartridge from his cartridge box, and a very rare and unique pose of a prone figure reaching for a cartridge to load his weapon! In addition, the Union group includes an officer cheering on his men with his revolver in his hand, a wounded artillery man kneeling and firing a revolver while he leans on a ramrod for support, and one less fortunate soldier who has been wounded or killed, and lies on the ground among those still fdefending the position!

The CTS Confederate group includes both a kneeling firing pose, and a sergeant standing firing pose, a kneeling figure loading his rifle with a ramrod, and a prone firing pose, as well as TWO DIFFERENTLY POSED charging figures, and one pose with his rifle over his shoulder in a typical "double time" pace as he approaches the targeted objective! And one last pose, a Confederate casualty who has just been shot and drops his rifle! All in all, a terrific assortment of realistically portrayed figures, and all of which I hand painted as you can see in the many photos! The Union group us dressed in the commonly worn infantry dress, with sack coats in dark blue and sky blue trousers, and wearing kepis, which was the common head gear for the Yankees in he Eastern Theater, while the Rebels come in typical Confederate uniforms of differing shades of gray or butternut, with butternut, charcoal, brown or sky blue trousers, and wearing an assortment of mostly slouch hats and a couple in kepis, with their weapons, equipment and accoutrements accurately depicted! And the American stone wall section with fence, was detailed by cleaning off the burrs and hand painting the item to enhance the look of the figures and depict the battle!

In addition, I signed the bases of all the figures, which I customarily do on all my hand painted soldiers, but very meaningful on this special set! This highly detailed and very unique group would make an oustsnding looking display in most anyone's Civil War display or 54mm toy soldier collection!! And with the 150thas a Anniversary of this momentous event in our Nation's history, a neat way to display your remembrance of the Civil War!

I've hand painted over 19,000 soldiers for collectors in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and even Japan in the last twelve years! My Civil War background began as a child on my first trip to Gettysburg, over 50 years ago, and I suit up in my complete Union Artillery sergeant's uniform to teach the Civil War to my wife's 5th Grade class each year!
