Marx 54mm Scale - Steel Litho Southern Mansion. Multi- piece metal building requires assembly - produced by Marx in the early 2000s. Toy Soldiers - set MX069d.
This was the last item the now-defunct Marx organization made before they went out of business in 2003-04. It's an updated version of the Southern Mansion which came in their 1960s playsets, recreated specifically for a planned Civil War Playset that never came to be. The building (which requires easy assembly) is 2 stories tall, and has an open back so you can put figures inside. It measures 15 inches long x 7 inches deep x 9 1/2 tall at the top of the chimneys. Also included are steel litho Union and Confederate flags.
It was engineered to accept the plastic Mansion Portico, MX069c, available separately, which can been seen in the photo. (54mm figures and accessories, including Mansion Portico, are shown for scale - only the mansion and the flags are included).
